FirstSpear Technology Group Launches VIGR™ Licensing Program: A New Standard for Accessing Patented Tactical Innovation

ST. LOUIS, MO – FirstSpear Technology Group (FSTG), the intellectual property custodian for the FirstSpear® family of brands, today announced the launch of the VIGR™ Licensing Program. This industry-first initiative establishes a streamlined, authorized pathway for manufacturers to access FSTG’s portfolio of patented load-bearing and attachment technologies, including the 6/12™ Modular Platform and Tubes® Fastener systems.

The VIGR™ program is designed to accelerate innovation by connecting the industry’s leading material and equipment manufacturers directly to the intellectual property that defines modern load carriage. By formalizing this access, FSTG is removing barriers to entry, allowing partners to build on a proven, defended foundation rather than relying on unauthorized workarounds.

"The tactical industry is moving faster than ever, and our goal with VIGR is to ensure that access to our technology is as advanced as the technology itself," said Scott Carver, CEO of FS Holdings. "We are moving beyond simple enforcement and into an era of strategic partnership. The VIGR program gives the market a clear 'yes'—a transparent way to integrate our battle-proven IP into their own product lines."

Validating the Model: The Haartz Collaboration

Coinciding with this launch, FSTG is proud to announce The Haartz Corporation as the program’s inaugural Authorized Material Partner. The debut of ProTact by Haartz® LaserFusion™ Vigr™ serves as the primary showcase for the VIGR model.

By participating in the program, Haartz has unlocked a strategic advantage for its customers: purchasing their VIGR-designated material is the exclusive method for manufacturers to qualify for a royalty-free license to practice FirstSpear’s patented LaserFusion™ technology.

"Our focus is always on material innovation, and ProTact by Haartz LaserFusion™ represents the apex of that effort," said Matthew Williams, VP Business Development at Haartz. "This material was developed to unlock the full potential of laser-cut platforms. It gives manufacturers a seamless, authorized foundation for their gear, combining Haartz’s textile engineering with the strategic access of the VIGR program."

The Mark of the Future

The VIGR™ mark serves as a status indicator for the industry. It identifies products and materials that are part of an authorized supply chain, signaling to government procurers and industry partners that the technology they are adopting is supported, legitimate, and ready for the future.

"VIGR is about opening doors for the right partners," said Sharon Wine, IP Manager for FSTG. "We are taking the friction out of the licensing process. When you see the VIGR mark, you aren't just seeing compliance; you are seeing a commitment to doing things the right way, with the best technology available."

FSTG will be showcasing the VIGR™ Licensing Program and the inaugural Haartz collaboration at SHOT Show 2026 (Booth #32111).
